Raymond W. Brandt, an identical twin to Robert, was\u00a0born to a German speaking family in N.W., Ohio. An\u00a0accidental 7,200-volt electric shock killed Dr. Brandt’s\u00a0twin at the age of 20, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Due to financial hardships, Raymond and Robert took employment\u00a0at a high-risk summer job to raise funds for their college\u00a0tuition. The twins loved children, thus Robert planned to\u00a0become a Lutheran parochial pastor and Raymond\u00a0planned to pursue a pediatric medical degree.<\/p>\n

After his twin’ death, Dr. Brandt was drafted into the\u00a0Korean conflict, wounded twice and received two Purple\u00a0Hearts and a medical discharge. Dr. Brandt altered his\u00a0collegiate work and took degrees in the Human\u00a0Engineering Sciences. In addition to teaching his\u00a0sciences at two universities he served in private practice to industries as a consultant\u00a0in product safety designs. Dr. Brandt also served as an expert witness in federal\u00a0courts in matters of human conservation through improved product safety designs.\u00a0He testified in 49 states during his professional career. He holds international patents\u00a0for making pediatric age products safer.<\/p>\n

Dr. Brandt founded\u00a0Twinless Twins Support Group International<\/strong> in 1986, having now hundreds of survivor twins in\u00a0membership<\/a>. He was founder and editor of\u00a0Twins\u00a0World Magazine<\/em>, the world’s first magazine for multiple birthed persons. He wrote Christian poetry and most recently authored and published the book:\u00a0Crucifixion To\u00a0Resurrection.<\/em>\u00a0Dr. Brandt designs his own art covers for his books which is art printed\u00a0and framed for sale at Christian art stores.<\/p>\n

Due to being a cancer patient for nine years he has authored and published Cancer\u00a0and Christ, which draws a parallel between cancer victims who battle cancer without\u00a0a belief in any things except perhaps themselves as compared to those cancer\u00a0victims who battle cancer with a firm belief in God. The book cites the beneficial\u00a0results in the coping with and healing of cancer.<\/p>\n

To serve as a text for counseling the loss of a twin Dr. Brandt has written and\u00a0published a book:\u00a0TWIN LOSS<\/a><\/em>, a manual for the management of grief and\u00a0loneliness resulting from the loss of a twin. Dr. Brandt has appeared as a guest on 26\u00a0national and international TV programs and interviewed on many radio and news\u00a0programs about the effect of twin loss due to the in-utero bonding of twins. He has\u00a0also been quoted in magazines and news releases regarding his beliefs as a twinless\u00a0scientist on the issues of the cloning of humans into twins.<\/p>\n
